Here's a couple of pics of the new DW-Craviotto. It's a solid shell flame maple.

I did an a-b with the other one. It was hard for me to tell any significant difference. What difference there was could be attributed to either the different heads, or the different fundamental tone. The new one has an Evans Power Center Reverse Dot. The other one has an Evans EC Snare. The shell on the new one is stamped G#. The other one is stamped A. But to my tin ear, we're splitting hairs.

I want to sell the one with the gold hardware on it, so I don't want to put any money into it.

I've tried several heads on the DW Craviotto and hjave to agree with Crash. Te G1 and the Craviotto are a match made in heaven!!

Al, what kind of strainer is on the one you're selling?

It's the DW strainer. You can see the strainer in profile in the picture in the Classifieds post.

I've got a little problem with the snares buzzing a little when the throw is off. Any suggestions?

I haven't experienced that issue with this drum. All I can think is that you overtightened the snares ad therefore you're not getting clear when you throw them off, I have found that I need to keep the bottom head tight on this drum to maintain a clean snare sound. Perhaps a tighter bottom tuning and looser snares might help.

Also, check that your snares are in good shape and well centered.
